(Harrisburg, PA) A medical mission trip to Ethiopia led by a group of Pennsylvania physicians associated with the World Surgical Foundation can now be followed on the web through the home page of The Institute for Good Medicine at the Pennsylvania Medical Society by visiting www.goodmedicine.org.

The Ethiopian-bound medical team begins its work in the impoverished African nation on February 13, concluding on February 25. With the help of blogger Jeff Bucs, those interested can follow the group through periodic postings.

The World Surgical Foundation was founded by Domingo Alvear, MD, in 1997 to help physicians in developing countries acquire skills, medical equipment, and supplies, while providing aid and comfort to patients in those countries. Based in Harrisburg, physicians from various parts of Pennsylvania as well as the nation have joined the World Surgical Foundation during past mission trips to the Philippines, Thailand, Honduras, and India.
